The CMF team congratulates Rozanna Madylus, who has been nominated for an Offie Award for her performance as Hänsel in HGO’s production of Hänsel und Gretel

John Groves, writing for London Theatre 1 wrote that “Madylus’ facial expressions are a continual delight and the two spar off each other with great glee – I have seen the opera many times, and have never seen these roles in better hands!”

Rozanna’s busy schedule doesn’t stop now that Hänsel und Gretel is over – in early December she will make her Wagner role debut alongside the legendary Sir John Tomlinson in Siegfried Act 3 as Erda (Earth Goddess) with the Mahler Players.

Described as having “an engaging stage presence” (The Daily Telegraph) and giving “compelling performances, offering fluid line and gripping conviction” (Opera Magazine), Rozanna Madylus is a graduate of The Royal Academy Opera School, where she was recipient of The Karaviotis Scholarship, The Sir Charles Mackerras Award and The Carr-Gregory Trust Award.
