Ensemble Hesperi have shared an updated on their recent and upcoming performances.
Helena Kay has been nominated for the Best Album category in the Scottish Jazz Awards and voting is open to the public. Helena has been nominated for their 2022 album Golden Sands.
Following their Best Instrumentalist category win in the 2022 awards, Helena would be overjoyed to win for the second year in a row, so please do take a moment to vote for them.
Helena Kay is a tenor saxophonist and composer based in London. Originally from Perth, Scotland, they moved to London in 2012 to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2016 with a First Class Degree in BMus Jazz (Hons). During their time studying, they were awarded the Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year Award (2015). In 2021, they were selected to become a City Music Foundation Artist.
