Paddington Trio to take part in Brighton Festival 2023
Paddington Trio will be playing Haydn and Brahms in the Brighton Theatre Royal at lunchtime on 22 May as part of the Brighton Festival
After our hiatus last month at Barts, we’re back to our usual routine of phenomenal, free lunchtime recitals! 2021 Soprano Olivia Boen is joined by pianist Ian Tindale for a journey through Schubert, Berg, Satie, Poulenc and Weill.
Olivia’s programme is called ‘Beautiful world, where are you?’, taken from Sally Rooney’s novel and in keeping with our 2022 ‘Piece of Mind’ series, interweaves the musical choices with words 13th-century Persian love poet Rumi and 18th century German playwright Friedrich von Schiller. Featuring both song and opera in a range of languages, German, French and English, this promises to be a brilliant occasion.
Join us on Wednesday 20th April at 1pm in the Great Hall. Tickets are free but a donation of £10 per person is suggested.
