
Basil Alter wins at 2026 Tillett Debut Scheme
Basil Alter announced as Tillett Debut Artist
After the success of her album, SOLA, Rosalind Ventris has a busy line up of performances this summer, including at the BBC Proms.
Last week saw her Solo Recital (Wednesday, 12th July) at Oxford Festival of the Arts, with special guest Sally Beamish.
Rosalind is also performing at the Proms as part of the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective (the collective’s debut Proms performance). Their performance of Schubert’s ‘Trout’ Quintet, plus works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and George Gershwin, will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
Alongside these concerts, Rosalind had been busy with her role as Artistic Director of Cowbridge Music Festival (15th – 24th September), who have recently announced their 2023 programme.
Rosalind commented that “I’m really excited to be performing with Llŷr Williams (details here) and my trio, Trio Anima (details here)” as part of the Festival. The concert with Llŷr Williams will be recorded for future broadcast by BBC Radio 3.
Rosalind Ventris (viola) leads an international career as a soloist and chamber musician. Her former teachers include David Takeno, Kim Kashkashian and Miguel da Silva, and she participated in masterclasses with Tabea Zimmermann, Nobuko Imai, Menahem Pressler, Steven Isserlis, Thomas Riebl and Gabor Takács-Nagy.
