Olivia Boen performs at Grant Park Music Festival
Soprano Olivia Boen will take part in a performance of Dvořák’s Stabat Mater at Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago on Friday 16th June 2023.
Formed as a creative response to the Great Depression, Grant Park Music Festival has been running for more than 80 years. Chicago-born Olivia will return home to participate in this summer’s festival. She will be singing as soloist in a performance of Dvořák’s Stabat Mater alongside Siena Licht Miller, John Matthew Myers, and bass-baritone Joseph Beutel and Grant Park Festival Chorus.
Praised for her “full-bodied, sparkling tone” (Cleveland Classical), Chicago-born lyric soprano Olivia Boen is increasingly in demand both on the operatic stage and in the recital hall. In the 2022-23 season, she will make her role debuts as Musetta and Gretel at the Hamburg Staatsoper, where she will be joining the International Opera Studio.
