CMF artist soprano Laura Perešivana took to London’s operatic stages twice this summer, with performances at both the Royal Albert Hall and at Opera Holland Park. Having made her operatic debut at age eighteen singing Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicci at the Latvian National Opera House, Laura added another Puccini role to her repertoire last month.
On Saturday 30th July, Laura joined a star-studded cast in a concert performance of Puccini’s Il tabarro with The Hallé and Sir Mark Elder at the Royal Albert Hall, as part of the BBC Proms 2022. Singing alongside Lucio Gallo and Natalya Romaniw, Laura sang as ‘the Lover’ which was described in The Arts Desk as “a charming cameo”.
Puccini is not all Laura has been singing this summer, following her appearance as Nini in Opera Holland Park’s five star production (The Stage, Mail on Sunday) of Delius’ Margot la Rouge.
