Review: Claire Ward’s performance with Figure Ensemble

City Music Foundation Artist Claire Ward (soprano) recently performed in This is my Body, a concert with Figure Ensemble exploring Dietrich Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu Nostri at the Swiss Church, Covent Garden.

Robert Hugill reviewed the performance writing that “the performances from the five singers, Claire Ward, Katie Macdonald, Tom Lilburn, Michael Bell and Hugo Herman-Wilson, were terrific. There was an understated directness to the singing, all with a fine sense of line and a beauty of tone.”
