Anna Cavaliero will take part in ‘Faust in Song’, part of Opera Prelude’s series of chamber recitals.

An evening revisiting the Faust legend in music. Some of the best loved songs in the repertoire draw on this unforgettable story which captivated 19th century composers, writers and artists alike. This recital serves as a wonderful introduction to the theme and features favourite songs by Schubert, Beethoven, Liszt, and Verdi alongside some familiar arias and a couple of forgotten gems including music hall parodies! The story will be explained during the course of the evening.

Anna Cavaliero was a 2017-18 Britten-Pears Young Artist, and 2019 Alvarez Young Artist with Garsington Opera. In 2019, she won the Opera Prelude Singer’s Prize, and was semi-finalist in the London Mozart Competition. She was also awarded second prize in the Lies Askonas competition 2017.
