The Alex Hitchcock Quartet (led by 2017 CMF Artist Alex Hitchcock) gave a performance recently at Stapleford Granary, which has been reviewed in Jazzwise. Fellow CMF Artist, Misha Mullov-Abbado was also at the concert, which saw Hitchcock collaborate with Ant Law.

Anne Templar, writing in Jazzwise commented that “it was entertainment perfectly suited to the sense of light and space we all crave at this time of year” and praised the whole ensemble for its “togetherness and grace”.

Alex Hitchcock is a London-born saxophonist and composer. As well as leading his own projects at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, The Vortex, and The Royal Albert Hall, he plays as a sideman in various other bands including Resolution 88 and the Peter Whittingham Award-winning Patchwork Jazz Orchestra.
