City Music Foundation congratulates the CMF Artists, past and present who have been nominated for RPS Awards this year.
Lotte Betts-Dean has been nominated for the Young Artist Award. Lotte’s career has gone from strength to strength in recent seasons, and she is now represented worldwide by Rayfield Allied. Connaught Brass trumpet player Aaron Akugbo, who also leads a successful career as a soloist (represented by Maestro Arts) is also up for the Young Artist Award. He made his BBC Proms solo debut in summer 2023, Haydn Trumpet Concerto with the Chineke! Orchestra.
Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective, an ensemble Rosalind Ventris has performed with are nominated for the Ensemble Award.
This year the RPS Awards ceremony is heading to Manchester, taking place at the Royal Northern College of Music. The Awards will take place on Tuesday 5 March, with a special broadcast by BBC Radio 3 the following evening.
Australian mezzo soprano Lotte Betts-Dean is a versatile and dynamic concert artist, whose performance experience encompasses opera, oratorio, contemporary music, art song recital/chamber music, early music and non-classical collaborations. She has been based in London since 2014 and works internationally, most often in the UK and Australia.
