RPS Nomination for Reylon Yount’s Tangram

City Music Foundation was delighted to hear that Tangram, the music collective transcending the China-West divide, has been nominated for a Royal Phiharmonic Society Award in the 2023 awards. CMF Artist Reylon Yount is a Co-Director of Tangram.

This year’s shortlist for Young Artist was decided by an independent panel drawn from across the music profession comprising:

Jenny Jamison, Chief Executive, Scottish Ensemble
Keval Shah, Pianist
Nick Thorne, Chief Executive, Orchestras for All
Rachel Gough, Principal Bassoon, London Symphony Orchestra
Zeb Soanes, Presenter, Classic FM

The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 1 March at the Southbank Centre.

Reylon is an inventive yangqin performer and songwriter creating an intersection between Chinese and American cultures
