A lunchtime concert featuring Kleio Quartet from 1pm at Apothecaries’ Hall
In today’s lunchtime concert, Kleio Quartet perform two beautiful quartets from well-known composers. First on the menu is Verdi’s only surviving chamber work, a String Quartet written during a performance of Aida in Naples. Finishing the concert is Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 3 in D major. It was actually the first string quartet the composer wrote, and is one of the gentlest in his early music.
Tickets are only available in advance via City Music Foundation’s website.

Programme

Verdi String Quartet
Beethoven String Quartet No.3 in D major, Op. 18
