Help Helena Ricci make her first solo album
Helena Ricci is currently crowdfunding for her debut solo album, anima, and she’s asking for your help to be able to make it.
Pianist Cordelia Williams presents ‘Between Heaven and the Clouds: Messiaen 2015’, a year-long series of performances and events exploring Messiaen’s piano masterpiece Vingt Regards sur l’Enfant-Jésus. The work was written in occupied Paris, 1944, yet is suffused with themes of love, colour, passion, silence and faith. The project will delve into Messiaen’s compositional style, his historical and musical contexts, and his rich variety of inspiration.
Cordelia is commissioning poetry from award-winning British poet Michael Symmons Roberts and former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Rowan Williams, as well as a Suite of paintings by British artist Sophie Hacker. All three of these contributors will take part in events throughout the year, alongside Messiaen experts and scholars in the fields of music, the arts and theology.
Join Cordelia Williams, Michael Symmons Roberts and Sophie Hacker for an exclusive performance, poetry reading and exhibition to celebrate the launch of this exciting project.
4th December 2014, 49 Queen’s Gate Terrace, London SW7 5PN
