
Joy Lisney’s upcoming concerts
Cellist and composer Joy Lisney’s upcoming concerts share the two sides of her career. In January her Piano Trio will have its world premiere by the Mithras Trio and later on in the month, there’s a chance to see her perform at the 1901 Arts Club in a concert series she has curated herself.
Wigmore Hall world premiere
Joy’s new Piano Trio, Petrichor, will receive its world premiere with a performance by the Mithras Trio where it will be heard alongside works by Frank Bridge and Beethoven.

Joy Lisney is a multi-faceted musician, combining composition with a performing career as cellist and conductor.
As a cellist, Joy has performed in the major European concert halls including the Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam Concertgebouw and Leipzig Gewandhaus as well as three consecutive sold-out recitals at London’s Southbank Centre. Her programmes range from her own arrangement of the Bach Chaconne, through the core repertoire to contemporary concertos and world premieres by composers including Mark Anthony Turnage, Cecilia Macdowall, Jan Vriend and Judith Weir, as well as her own compositions.
