Help Siân Dicker record the William Walton Songbook

Sian Dicker soprano

Siân Dicker and Krystal Tunnicliffe have shared a musical duo partnership and a passion for English song for close to decade now, and are praised for their genuine connection with audiences and imaginative programming. Earlier this year, the duo decided to embark upon a project to record the complete songbook of the British composer William Walton.

This complete recording of Sir William Walton’s songs for solo voice will mark forty years since Walton’s death and one hundred years since the debut performance of the Edith Sitwell Façade settings, and include the first recording of his Four Early Songs in their entirety. Siân and Krystal will be joined by guitarist Saki Kato to record a fresh take on Walton’s unique contribution to the British song canon.

Siân, Krystal and Saki are delighted to be working with Delphian Records to create this disc and are now in the process of fundraising to bring this project to fruition. City Music Foundation is hosting their crowdfunding endeavours, which include a whole host of exclusive rewards in return for financial support towards this recording.

Donation rewards range from recognition in the disc liner notes, to a coaching with Siân and Krystal or even a private recital in your own home. Any amount truly helps and Siân, Krystal and Saki cannot wait to share their debut disc with you!

‘Oozing characterful expression’ with ‘ample tones, gorgeously rich in the middle’ (Opera Today), spinto soprano Siân Dicker is in demand for her rich, full-bodied voice and dramatic flair. Known for her expressive characterisation and genuine connection with audiences, Siân performs regularly on both the recital and opera stage.
