2022 City Music Foundation Artist Helena Ricci has announced a crowdfunding campaign to support the creation of her debut solo album, anima. The trailblazing harpist has been offered the chance to record the work in Stoller Hall, Manchester, but needs further support to record, edit, master, release and market the record.
On the album, Helena says “anima is based on the themes of love, solitude and transformation. I conceived this album to feel like a musical embrace, a connection with you through sound. It features some of my own transcriptions and music recorded for the first time on the harp.”
City Music Foundation is pleased to support Helena’s crowdfunding efforts, and we hope that some of our regular supporters might be able to assist Helena with some of the costs. Helena has recorded a video, which you can watch below, with more information about anima, and where your contributions will be spent.
Creatively forging her path as a visionary classical musician, Helena Ricci is a trailblazing harpist praised for her expressive, dynamic playing and captivating stage presence. Through her MUSILUX project merging classical music with live projections, she is working on creating mesmerising immersive concert experiences.
