Pianist George Fu will be performing a programme to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Fleischmann Planetarium.

Apex Concerts celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Fleischmann Planetarium with a phenomenal program with fascinating astronomical range. Travel through light-years of musical ingenuity from works by J.S. Bach and William Herschel — the composer and astronomer who discovered the planet Uranus, — through colorful compositions by Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky, all the way into the mysterious and mystical world of Celestial Mechanics by the genius George Crumb.

Passionate about the creation of new work, George Fu is an active composer and performer of both traditional and contemporary music, having collaborated with eminent composers such as Krzysztof Penderecki, Harrison Birtwistle, Tansy Davies, Philip Cashian, George Lewis, Unsuk Chin, Matthew Aucoin, and Freya Waley-Cohen.
