Ensemble Hesperi’s latest news
Ensemble Hesperi have shared an updated on their recent and upcoming performances.
We are delighted to announce that Artistic and Executive Director at Wigmore Hall John Gilhooly has become one of City Music Foundation’s Patrons. Our Artists, both past and present, have appeared at Wigmore in increasing numbers in recent years. John was awarded a CBE for his contribution to music in the 2022 New Year Honours after becoming an OBE in 2013. We join in congratulating him on his achievement and welcome him to the CMF family!
A few words from John:
“CMF works with outstanding musicians to help them make a living from classical music. Organisations such as CMF are more important than ever in arranging mentoring for, and promotion of young musicians at a vital stage in their career. I am very pleased to support such an important national organisation.”
We are also thrilled to be hosted by John at Wigmore Hall for this year’s City Music Foundation Gala on Tuesday 5th July 2022 – a star-studded evening of music performed by Jennifer Pike, David Blackadder & Christopher Purves alongside CMF alumni with a programme of Stravinsky, Mendelssohn, Bach and Handel.
