Prize Winners at Rebecca Clarke Song Competition

CMF Artist Baritone Jonathan Eyers claimed first prize at the inaugural Rebecca Clarke Song Competition which took place at the Royal Over-Seas League in January. Launched by the charity SWAP’ra (Supporting Women and Parents in Opera) to shine a spotlight on British women composers of the past 150 years, the competition awarded five prizes to singers and pianists. And not only did Jonathan win first prize, but CMF Artist pianist Jack Redman was awarded the ‘Best Performance of a Song by a Living Composer’ with Lucy Gibbs for their performance of ‘Rubbish at Adultery’ by Cheryl Frances-Hoad.
