City Music Foundation is pleased to announce it is now accepting applications to become a CMF Artist. The application window will remain open until 10am Monday 25th March 2024, after which applications will be reviewed, with shortlisted musicians invited to an audition in London. 

Exceptional early-career classical soloists and chamber ensembles, as well as jazz, folk and world musicians are invited to apply for funding for a project which will help them progress their professional careers. 

Alongside funding for a project, successful applicants can expect one-to-one coaching sessions, a lunchtime concert in St Martin in the Fields and a CMF-promoted concert, and promotion as a CMF Artist on CMF’s social media, website and newsletter. In return CMF will ask that they provide proof of how the funding is used, tickets for shows/copies of CDs/videos for CMF website (as appropriate), and for acknowledgement of CMF funding on websites, videos, CDs, commissions, programmes (as appropriate).

Over the years many CMF artists have achieved international recognition through projects which CMF has guided and funded, and in the new, post-Covid musical landscape, this is something we want to focus on in particular.
