Rozanna Madylus’ upcoming performances

In December, CMF Artist Rozanna Madylus (mezzo soprano) will take to the stage with the Mahler Players (‘Scotland’s best-kept musical secret’) for a concert performance of Act 3 of Wagner’s Siegfried

The performance will see Rozanna reunite with acclaimed bass Sir John Tomlinson, who she has previously collaborated with on John Casken’s critically acclaimed The Shackled King

Rozanna is also taking part in Opera Unwrapped at Aldeburgh’s Jubilee Hall on Friday 22nd September, where she is one of six finalists in the Mastersingers competition.

Mastersingers presents a weekend of events looking at how opera singers prepare for their roles.

2.00 – 4.00 The Competition

Six young singers compete in the final of Mastersingers’ annual Carole Rees Awards, adjudicated by Dame Anne Evans, Isabel Murphy, James Rutherford and Malcolm Rivers.

5.00 – 6.30 The Next Step

Dame Anne Evans and Isabel Murphy discuss the challenges for young singers embarking on an operatic career.

Described as having “an engaging stage presence” (The Daily Telegraph) and giving “compelling performances, offering fluid line and gripping conviction” (Opera Magazine), Rozanna Madylus is a graduate of The Royal Academy Opera School, where she was recipient of The Karaviotis Scholarship, The Sir Charles Mackerras Award and The Carr-Gregory Trust Award.
